As owner of Barbershop 808, Alexis set out to create a more welcoming and inclusive take on the traditional barbershop — one that combines great barbering, creative culture, and genuine hospitality. The shop's name is inspired by Alexis's love of music and the iconic drum machines that helped shape electronic music throughout the 80s and 90s.

Outside the shop, you'll find Alexis riding a motorbike, camping, producing ambient music or cooking for friends and family.

Dave “Spoon” is all about good cuts, good conversation, and making sure you leave the shop feeling your best. He specializes in clean cuts, textured styles, fades, beard work, and men’s grooming, with a sharp eye for detail and a laid-back approach behind the chair.

Before barbering, Spoon was in the Army and worked as a chef. These days he spends a lot of his time playing music as a DJ, artist, and producer. His years in professional kitchens gave him a deep appreciation for hospitality and craftsmanship — influences that still shape the way he approaches his work and connects with clients today. That creative background shows up in his work — every cut is tailored, easy to wear, and built around the person sitting in the chair.

Specialty: Beards and Men’s Grooming

Specializing in mullets, scissor cuts, and shaggy textured styles, Markus’ work blends classic technique with a lived-in, effortlessly cool finish. Whether it’s a modern shag, textured mullet, or a sharp scissor crop, Markus knows how to create cuts that feel individual and easy to wear.

Outside the shop, Markus is a horror and sci-fi movie buff and has spent 28 years DJing, bringing the same creative energy and deep love of music and culture into every cut. He’s also a patient and trusted kid cut specialist, making younger clients feel comfortable while giving them a style they love.

Lilia has extensive experience working with a wide range of hair textures and densities, with a particular talent for assisting client who have thick, coarse, or hard-to-manage hair. Patient, detail-oriented, and collaborative, she enjoys helping people understand their hair and find styles that work with its natural texture rather than against it.

In her spare time Lilia is an amazing harpist and lifelong Spurs fan.

Originally from Colorado, Janelle specializes in medium-length haircuts, scissor work, and creating styles that feel natural, effortless, and tailored to each client. With a warm personality and an easygoing approach, she enjoys getting to know the people in her chair and helping them find a look that fits their lifestyle.

When she's not behind the chair, Janelle loves painting, crafting, traveling, and seeking out new adventures. Her creative spirit and appreciation for self-expression shine through in both her work and the experience she creates for every client.
